Update April 2012:
From director, Mark Feakins:
"It was great to meet so many STOS members old and new at the AGM and get the ball rolling with A Christmas Carol. The full introductory evening on the 8th of May will be an opportunity for everyone to get an insight into the production and how we will make it our own. We are introducing darker aspects to the show to bring in the surreal ghostly elements of Dickens original story, but we still have some joyous, riotous number such as Fezziwig’s Ball and a bizarre burlesque tap number in Scrooge’s bedroom to celebrate the joy of Christmas!
We have produced an Audition Pack for members to download, which outlines all the roles available within the 42 strong cast. I am very keen that this is an ensemble show and everyone will have a named role to play, with most people playing 3 or more parts! It is a big and complex show to put together so we will be looking for a committed and talented cast of all ages, shapes and sizes at the auditions on the 27th and 29th May. I can’t wait to get going!"
How do I audition?
We recommend you come along to the Intro Evening on 8 May 2012 (7.30pm, Easy Street Rehearsal Premises) to meet us, and to hear more about the production.
